Erica Crohn Minchella has practiced law for over 35 years in the areas of real estate, litigation and financial issues. Erica is known for her expertise in negotiating short sales and foreclosure defense and other real estate litigation as well as being respected for her concentration in residential and commercial real estate transactions. She has been acknowledged for over 25 years as an instructor for lawyers in the areas of her expertise through the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, Woman’s Bar Association, Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Real Estate Institute, Lawline, and Apex Continuing Legal Education and is sought after as a speaker for community groups, banks, law firms and real estate brokers. Erica is the former chair of the Real Estate Section Council for the Illinois State Bar Association (2016-17), is the founder and President of the Association of Foreclosure Defense Attorneys (2010 – President), on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association (2015-Present). She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Executive Women (CREW, Skokie Chamber of Commerce (President 2012-14), Northbrook Chamber of Commerce, Women Belong, Provisors, and Professional Referral Organization.

Keelan D. Kane is an Associate Attorney with Minchella & Associates. He has a Master of Arts in psychology from the University of Toronto in Canada and a Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to his psychology and legal training, Mr. Kane has a strong background in game theory, strategy, economics, and negotiation.
After graduating law school and getting licensed in Illinois in 2012, Mr. Kane litigated foreclosure defense, plaintiff-side consumer protection, fraud, and RICO cases, among other types of cases. Mr. Kane is expanding Minchella & Associates' practice into plaintiff-side consumer protection work.

Brigitte A. Auer is an Associate Attorney with Minchella & Associates. Ms. Auer graduated from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California. While in school, she pursued her interest in Criminal Law externing for several different divisions within the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. After graduation, Ms. Auer worked for a private criminal defense firm for several years before moving to Illinois.
After becoming licensed in Illinois, Ms. Auer began her work in real estate. She practiced exclusively in this area representing both purchasers and sellers in residential real estate transactions for a number of years. Ms. Auer also has in court litigation experience, having handled personal injury, family law, and commercial litigation cases. Ms. Auer is excited to be practicing exclusively in real estate once again.
